Resident French chef Marc Moissard demonstrated how to cook with local organic seasonal vegetables and herbs. Marc is a teacher of Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts and offered tasty and nutritious foods cooked from a selection of seasonal recipes. Members and visitors were invited to come and sample pancakes, potato cakes, blinis, scones, vegetable soups and home-made ginger beer .

Tasting Organic Wine and Local Organic CheeseUrs Tobler presented tastings of Vendemia organic wines in combination with Emmental style cheese from Mary and Gerry Kelly's Moon Shine Organic Dairy Farm.
Just days earlier, Moon Shine Dairy's non-homogenised farmhouse milk had received top honours in the National Organic Awards.
Held annually in Ireland since 2005, National Organic Week is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and co-ordinated by Bord Bía. Its goal is to raise consumer awareness of organic food, how to recognise it when shopping and where to buy it.
